Careers

We are not hiring yet. Here is who we will need.

Assay is early and deliberately small. Rather than post roles we cannot fill, here is an honest account of where the company is, what we will need first, and how to be at the front of the queue when we get there.

Where we actually are

The product parses Okta Workflows exports and issues independent attestations. The analysis engine works. The first engagements are underway. There is no outside funding and no intention to raise before the business supports itself.

That means we will hire slowly, from revenue, and only where the work genuinely cannot wait. We would rather tell you that plainly than run a hiring pipeline for roles that do not exist.

The first roles, in order

First

Identity automation engineer

Deep hands-on Okta Workflows, plus one of Saviynt, SailPoint or IBM Security Identity Manager. You would extend the control library and build the next platform collector. Reverse-engineering an undocumented format should sound like a good day rather than a bad one.

Second

Assurance and reporting lead

Audit or GRC background. You would own the control library, the methodology, and the language of the attestation — making findings precise enough that a customer cannot dispute them and plain enough that a board can read them.

Later

Partner and channel

Building the MSP and delivery-partner network, where one relationship reaches dozens of tenants. Suits someone who has sold through partners rather than around them.

Always

Speculative

If you have read this site and think we are wrong about something specific — the methodology, the positioning, what the format can and cannot tell you — we would like to hear it whether or not a role exists.

How we intend to work

01

Remote, with real overlap

The team is based in Pune and works remotely. We expect a few hours of overlap each day rather than fixed office hours, and we write things down instead of holding meetings about them.

02

Evidence over opinion

The product exists because we would rather show a customer an honest gap than a green tick they cannot rely on. We hold ourselves to the same standard internally.

03

Small on purpose

We are not trying to be large. A specialist firm doing one thing precisely, for people who need it, is the goal — not a headcount chart.

04

No unpaid trials

If we ask you to do real work as part of hiring, we pay for it at a fair rate. Take-home exercises that produce something we could use are work.

Get in touch anyway.

Send what you have worked on and what you would want to build here. We keep expressions of interest on file and come back to them first — and we reply to every one.
